Due to the gradual reopening of society we’re stopping our Stock the Fridge program effective immediately. I want to say a big thank you to all of you who have ordered whether it be once or on a weekly basis.

“As the executive chef and owner of The Hearty Boys Caterers I wanted to take a moment to address the actions we here at Hearty Boys are taking to work with clients at this unprecedented time.
Regarding health issues:
As we are a boutique company our core staff is small and has been with us for years. This makes the transmission of information quick and easy. To that end we have been able to quickly implement and reinforce health and safety practices. We’re all washing our hands repeatedly, using hand sanitizer, changing gloves after each task, greeting each other with a simple wave and, most importantly, staying home should we feel the slightest bit sick.
Regarding your event:
Please know that we are committed to being as flexible as possible in order to keep your stress level to a minimum.
– We’ve dropped our final numbers deadline to the Monday before large events in order to give you and your guests more time to make decisions.
– Should you decide to move your event to a different, mutually agreed upon date, we will be happy to execute your event in the same Hearty Boys manner
– Should a new venue be necessary we will be happy to assist in your search

We’ve long been on the cutting edge of the craft cocktail movement. Owner and mixologist Steve McDonagh began researching and producing pre-prohibition cocktails over 10 years ago and has introduced many Chicagoans to the movement through what the Chicago Tribune called his “ambitious cocktail list”. He has shared his historical knowledge even further with the publication of our cocktail guide “The New Old Bar”, and you can get your copy here.
Steve believes a cocktail is a first course and we apply the same chef-driven approach to the glass as we do to the plate. Only quality name brand spirits appear in our packages, we use fresh herbs and house made syrups throughout and are outright cocktail geeks about featuring unique cocktails that have history and meaning.
The Hearty Boys is proud to be a family run business. Dan and Steve have been a couple for 25 years and their young son is a 100% restaurant kid through and through. Our working atmosphere reflects that and you’ll see it in our entire team from our kitchen staff to our waiters to our sales staff.
